All that rubbish in the form of garbage produces a great deal of anxiety or anger in those who know that we produce more waste than the earth can cope with. My own response is to do the best that I can to lower my footprint. I am committed to do so joyfully by planting and encouraging the planting of forests and food forests.
By planting people-made forests we transform our garbage into clean air. By planting food- forests we transform some of our garbage into compost for mulching nutritious foods.
All that rubbish in the form of personal baggage produces fear, shame or guilt in some people who are aware of the challenges we face as a global community. While doing nothing to resolve inner and outer conflicts may be the answer for some it seems more logical to do what one can to make our lives better. This has a spinoff effect on the world as a whole.
By connecting with the earth through Permaculture Retreats we learn how the elements and patterns in nature work. This assists us in adapting to changes in our environments with a greater sense of confidence. By connecting with our inner selves during Forest Retreats we rejuvenate ourselves and potentially heal some of our emotional wounds as well.
